We Were Robbed

Afternoon all, this post comes to you just as I’m about to grab some lunch and then head to do more work.

I can do nothing but reflect on the heart break of yesterday’s game at Manchester City. I thought we were amazing for most of the game and the response to going 2-0 down in a matter of minutes was fantastic, Gareth Bale produced a goal that has to be a contender for goal of the season? Plus I can’t help but ponder what might of been if Defoe had been able to steer the ball into the net in the dying minutes. Oh the what ifs!!

Of course I can’t mention yesterday’s match without bringing up “that incident” of Mario Balotelli’s stamp on Scott Parker. Should he have walked? In a word, yes!! Should he receive a ban for what he did? Yes!! The evidence is there to see for all. We pushed City right to the wire yesterday, and were only beaten by a guy who shouldn’t even have been on the pitch. We can only take encouragement from that.

I have thought all along that all this talk of winning the league is a bit far fetched, five of the next eight games sees us come up against Liverpool, Newcastle, Arsenal, Chelsea and Man United. So if we can battle our way through that mine field and still be in with a shot of bagging a top 3 finish, I’ll be a happy camper.

Rome was not built in a day, and I am sure it had its fair share of guys with dodgy tax records too?

(I joke!!! In Harry we trust)

If the whole universe has no meaning, we should never have found out that it has no meaning: just as, if there were no light in the universe and therefore no creatures with eyes, we should never know it was dark. Dark would be without meaning.

Bye Bye Facebook

This week I finally snapped and did the unthinkable, well the unthinkable to some people, I deleted my Facebook account. It wasn’t a rash decision, I hadn’t been on my profile much since the New Year and I found that not being on it wasn’t that big a deal, and made me realize just how much time I had been wasting on it.

To be honest, i’d grown tired of everything about the site. You know what I mean folks, the “friends” who can’t speak to you in person, the “friends” who have an opinion on everything you post that verges on being militant and the “friends” who just spy on your every word to see what you’re up to, i could go on.

Will I come back to Facebook? I probably will, but I’ll probably be whittling my friends down to people I actually know, until then anyone of any importance has my mobile number.

Can’t beat a bit of Fry and Laurie to make you giggle. “I am going to write a very stiff letter.. a very stiff letter.. on cardboard.

To sustain the belief that there is no God, atheism has to demonstrate infinite knowledge, which is tantamount to saying, “I have infinite knowledge that there is no being in existence with infinite knowledge
